The prep that decides how long it lasts
Anyone can put color on a surface. How well a finish holds up comes down to the prep that happens before the first coat.
- Furniture moved to the center and covered, floors papered and taped, doorways masked
- Nail holes, dings and drywall cracks filled, sanded flush and spot-primed so they do not flash
- Glossy or previously oil-based trim scuff-sanded and bonded-primed before finish coats
- Caulk lines cut out and replaced where they have split at trim and casing
What we put on your home
We specify per surface, not one product for the whole property.
- Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore interior lines, matched to the room's use
- Scrubbable matte or eggshell on living areas, satin in kitchens and baths
- Waterborne enamel on trim and doors so it cures hard without the yellowing of old oil
- Stain-blocking primer over water marks, smoke, tannin and heavy color changes

- One coat over a dark color, so the old shade ghosts through within a year
